Majmudar & Partners advised New York-listed Carlisle Companies on the India-related aspects of the USD375 million sale of Carlisle Brake & Friction to CentroMotion.
Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas advised CentroMotion, while Dorsey & Whitney was US counsel to Carlisle Companies, and Latham & Watkins advised Centro Motion in the US. The deal was signed on 24 May, and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2021.
Majmudar & Partners’ team was led by partner Rukshad Davar and included tax counsel Ravishankar Raghavan, associate partner Kritika Agarwal and associate Rahul Datta.
Dorsey & Whitney’s team comprised partners Jonathan Van Horn and Brian Burke, and associates Max Lesser and Julia Lisi.
Carlisle Companies said the sale was part of its portfolio optimisation strategy.
