Louvre Hotels Group has acquired a majority stake in Sarovar Hotels, India’s largest independent hotel chain.
Sarovar Hotels owns 75 hotels across India under three brands – Sarovar Premiere, Sarovar Portico and Hometel. The group also manages 10 hotels under the Radisson, Park Plaza and Park Inn brands.
Louvre is Europe’s second-largest hotel group and operates over 1,170 hotels in 51 countries. It is owned by Jin Jiang International, one of China’s leading travel and tourism conglomerates.
