L&L Partners has been busy replenishing its ranks since about 20 of its partners recently moved to Saraf & Partners, which was recently established by the firm’s former senior partner, Mohit Saraf.

Since 1 June this year, eight partners have joined L&L across its offices in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru. Among these, Avirup Nag, who headed IndusLaw’s energy and infrastructure practice, and his team of five associates joined the firm’s New Delhi office in August.

Rajiv Luthra, founder and managing partner of L&L, said the firm had “added about 130 new members in the past few months”, including “some very senior and highly experienced professionals”, and also “many senior professionals” who had returned to the firm. He said L&L was “keenly looking at the government’s national monetisation pipeline and expect a lot of work there”.

L&L Partners has more than 250 practitioners including 67 partners – at least six of whom are equity partners – and nine partners designate. Its recent partner-level hires are as follows:
