LexOrbis has promoted associate partners Joginder Singh and Omesh Puri to the position of partners in its Delhi office. Singh and Puri have headed the patent engineering, and trademarks, copyright and design practices, respectively, for the past three years.

“Both Omesh and Joginder have been handling a large number of contentious and non-contentious matters,” LexOrbis founder partner Manisha Singh told India Business Law Journal. “With substantial experience in their kitty, they have understood the requirements of clients, which is not only restricted to advising on complex IP laws, but they have also been acting as business partners and strategists for their clients.”

Singh is a registered Indian patent agent and has more than 11 years of experience in patent-related matters. He has worked on handling contentious and non-contentious patent matters for the firm.

Puri is responsible for large IP portfolios from various industries including pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, computer software, fashion, automobiles and liquor. He regularly advises on complex commercial and IP transactions, and has experience in litigation at various courts of India and the Intellectual Property Appellate Board.
