Legasis, Singhi advise in KEC acquisition of Spur

Legasis Partners advised National Stock Exchange of India and BSE-listed KEC International on its INR630 million (USD8.3 million) acquisition of Spur Infrastructure, an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company engaged in setting up cross-country oil and gas pipelines and city gas distribution networks.

Ahmedabad-based Singhi & Co advised Spur Infrastructure. Legasis Partners’ team comprised its managing partner, Suhas Tuljapurkar, partner Apurv Sardeshmukh, senior associates Aanchal Lamba and Vaishnavi Bhat, and associates Niharica Pande and Madhubanti Kar.

Singhi & Co’s team comprised senior partner Sandeep Singhi, partner Shamik Bhatt and senior associate Abhishek Shah.

Announcing the deal, KEC International, an RPG Group company, said it was in keeping with its strategy to diversify “into adjacent areas of growth”. An infrastructure EPC company, KEC’s interests include power transmission and distribution, and railways.
