Landlord can evict tenant after amalgamation

When a company that is the landlord of a premises stands dissolved due to amalgamation, do the rights given to it under a decree for eviction get transferred to the amalgamated company? Ruling in M/s Speedline Agencies v M/s T Stanes & Co Ltd, the Supreme Court recently held these rights do get transferred under both the Rent Control Act and the Transfer of Property Act.
