JunHe advised the largest French communications giant Publicis Groupe on its China branch’s acquisition of a digital product consultancy Wiredcraft.

The law firm and its Hong Kong office advised Publicis on PRC and Hong Kong laws, alongside co-operation with a local Singapore firm.

Managing Partner Warren Hua led the team with support from partner Wang Kai. Hong Kong-based partners Theresa De, Catherine Ho and partner Bai Hongjuan at Beijing office provided Hong Kong law, labour and tax counsel.

Wiredcraft was founded in 2009 and provides solutions such as e-commerce, social CRM, and event management to help its clients, including Starbucks, Hilton, Nike and others to expand their Chinese business.

Jane Lin-Baden, Publicis Groupe’s managing partner of APAC and CEO North Asia, said the company’s digital portfolio in China – including Wiredcraft, Publicis Sapient, Digitas and EDGE – will replace its disrupted sales channels due to covid-19.
