JunHe has added two partners, Liu Zhengdong and Li Chenghao, and two counsel, Liu Xin and Wu Ling, to its Shanghai office, and one private equity counsel, David Wang, to its Hong Kong office.
The four lawyers in Shanghai joined from MHP Law Firm, where Liu Zhengdong was a founding partner and Li was a partner.
With 28 years’ experience in private practice, Liu Zhengdong’s practice focused on corporate exits, real estate, protection of state-owned assets, and government consultancy. He is also a member of the Expert Committee of Civil and Administrative Litigations of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, an executive director of the All China Lawyers Association and a representative of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Congress.
Li specialises in insolvency and bankruptcy, and was among the first batch of lawyers to handle bankruptcy cases in Shanghai after the Enterprise Bankruptcy Law was implemented in China.
Liu Xin’s practice focuses on real estate and dispute resolution, while Wu specialises in insolvency and bankruptcy, dispute resolution and non-performing assets related practice.
Wang joined from Maples Group in Hong Kong, and earlier was with Travers Thorp Alberga. He has represented international and domestic private equity funds, hedge funds, securities firms and asset managers, and has assisted numerous investment funds and new economy companies in their private equity/venture capital projects.
