HKEx has chosen Wong Li-Chien as managing director and co-head of IPO vetting, working in partnership with Stephanie Lau to oversee all issuer listing applications.
Wong joined from Kirkland & Ellis, where she had been a partner in Hong Kong since 2011. Prior to this, she worked at Skadden and Sidley Austin. Qualified to practise law in Hong Kong, England, Singapore and Malaysia, Wong has 25 years of experience in private practice as a corporate and capital markets lawyer, with two decades in the city.
She will join HKEx on 15 March 2022, succeeding Janice Wu, who also came from a legal background and was appointed less than two years earlier.
