Yulchon has strengthened its services to address rising IP disputes and the expanding entertainment sector with the addition of partners Jong Cheol Lee and Mun Hui Kim in e-discovery, compliance and media, and entertainment law.
The firm aims to provide top-tier counsel for domestic and international challenges that many Korean enterprises face.
Lee, former Samsung Electronics executive vice president, brings expertise in domestic and international compliance, including managing complex legal issues such as overseas privacy concerns and class action lawsuits.
“I am excited to contribute my knowledge and prior experience to this esteemed team, particularly in matters related to international litigation and cross-border investigations,” said Lee.
Kim rejoins Yulchon after a stint at Jipyong Law Firm as a partner with expertise in advisory and litigation services across various entertainment segments, including global over-the-top platforms and talent management. She facilitated the contract renewal and solo label establishment for Blackpink member Jennie.
“I am committed to providing dedicated services to clients and maintaining an innovative marketing spirit. I will strive to elevate Yulchon to the forefront of the entertainment and content sector,” said Kim.
