Walkers’ corporate lawyer Jo Lit has moved from Hong Kong to Dubai to join independent law firm Ibrahim & Partners as a partner in the capital markets and M&A practice and to head the China desk.

Lit was previously a partner at offshore law firm Walkers for more than two years and has more than 20 years of international capital market and M&A experience in Hong Kong and China.

She has been covering a wide range of high-profile, cross-border corporate, securities, financing, private equity investment, and M&A transactions. Her arrival will further strengthen and deepen Ibrahim’s international equity capital market and M&A offerings with a focus on China.

As an offshore legal adviser, Lit advised and completed the listings of more than 100 companies in Hong Kong, the US and Taiwan since 2007, including the first dual primary listing in Hong Kong of Nasdaq-listed China video platforms Bilibili, the IPO of investment firm ESR Cayman and biochemical company Ascletis Pharma in Hong Kong, among others.

In cross-border M&A transactions, Lit has represented a live-streaming platform DouYu in its USD10 billion merger with another platform Huya and advised China Yangtze Power in its USD3.59 billion acquisition of utility company Luz Del Sur in Peru.
