IndusLaw advised Gurugram-based Indian School of Hospitality when it sold a majority stake to Swiss higher education company Sommet Education as part of a strategic alliance between the two companies.

Khaitan & Co advised Sommet Education. The deal, which was announced on 24 August, allows for the entry into India of culinary and pastry school École Ducasse, and hospitality business school Les Roches.

IndusLaw’s team comprised senior partner Avimukt Dar, partner Anubha Sital, principal associate Devya Sharma and associate Ekta Yadav.

Khaitan & Co’s team comprised partner Monika Srivastava, principal associate Sanchit Agarwal, senior associate Ranjini Gogoi and associate Aayush Thapar.

Sommet Education, which is owned by Euronext Paris-listed investment company Eurazeo, said the alliance “includes plans for further expansion in the region, starting with the addition of a second campus in India within the next three years”.
