IndusLaw hires expert to set up tax practice

Ritesh Kumar Talreja

Ritesh Kumar Talreja has joined IndusLaw to set up and lead the firm’s direct taxes practice group in Bengaluru. He joins from Ernst & Young, where he was a director at its Bengaluru branch.

Talreja is also a chartered accountant with more than 13 years of professional experience in direct tax and regulatory matters. He is experienced in M&A, corporate tax planning & litigation, tax policy, international taxation, structuring cross-border transaction, and joint venture negotiations.

Talreja has experience in matters before the National Company law Tribunal involving amalgamations, de-mergers and capital reduction, in addition to working with the Reserve Bank of India on matters for non-banking financial companies.

He has been actively involved in corporate tax litigation, and has represented clients on tax policy matters before the Central Board of Direct Taxes, the highest direct tax administration body of India.
