Hylands Law Firm has hired Shen Suran and Yuan Juan as partners in its Beijing office, a move to strengthen the firm’s competitiveness in dispute resolution and entertainment, media and internet.
Shen joined Hylands from Beijing-based Zhongwen Law Firm, where she was executive director of finance and capital market department. Her practice focuses on dispute resolution, banking and insurance, M&A and restructuring. She has provided legal services to China Development Bank, China Reinsurance (Group) Corporation, China Vanke, Nan Fung Group, Haier Real Estate Group, ZZ Capital and China Credit Trust.
Yuan has more than 15 years of experience in the entertainment, media and internet, real estate, litigation and arbitration sectors. She has advised companies on M&A, asset buyouts and intellectual property protection. Her clients include Microsoft China, Youku Tudou, CCTV, Shanghai Film (Group) Corporation, Media Asia Group, China National Pharmaceutical Group, and Sino-Ocean Group, etc.
