Grandall Law Firm has hired Thomas So as a partner and head of its dispute resolution department in Hong Kong.
So is a Justice of the Peace and a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and sits on its Social and Legal Affairs Committee. He was president of the Law Society of Hong Kong from 2016 to 2018 and served as Deputy Judge at the District Court and Temporary Deputy Registrar at the High Court in Hong Kong. He also served as an attesting officer under the PRC’s Ministry of Justice.
As a legal professional in bankruptcy, liquidation and especially varied disputes, So has extensive arbitration experience in Asia and serves as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an Arbitrator of HKIAC and CIETAC.
So was a partner at Mayer Brown prior to joining Grandall.
