The Association of Corporate Counsel Hong Kong (ACCHK) marked its 20-year anniversary with a celebration attended by nearly 100 participants.
This event drew an impressive roster of members, industry arbitrators and leading professionals. They included Justice Joseph Fok of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal, who is also the association’s patron.
ACCHK President Kat Kukreja told Asia Business Law Journal that the event served as a “celebration of the collaboration and spirit of the in-house legal community in the city, and highlighted the strength in member connections, which is a key aspect of membership of ACCHK”.
The association’s director, Giselle Bates, also one of the event’s organisers, said the event worked at both professional and personal levels. “It was wonderful to have so many members attend the celebration and take advantage of the opportunity to catch up with old friends, and make new connections with other members, our guests and our generous sponsor representatives,” she said.
The association was initially established as the Hong Kong Corporate Counsel Association (HKCCA) in March 2003. In 2017, it joined the Association of the Corporate Counsel (ACC) global network and rebranded as ACC Hong Kong (ACCHK).
The anniversary celebration took place at the old Bank of China Building in Central, Hong Kong on 28 November 2023.
