Han Kun Law Offices has recruited Cherry Jin as a partner at its Shanghai office, strengthening its cross-border asset finance and shipping practice.
Before joining Han Kun, Jin practised at the Shanghai office of Dacheng Law Offices. Earlier in her career, she worked at the Shanghai offices of Ince and Clyde & Co, and at the Hong Kong and Shanghai branches of Clifford Chance and Stephenson Harwood.
Jin focuses on international shipping transactions, advising on ship finance leasing, shipbuilding, ship sale and purchase, operational management, asset acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, and the establishment of shipping funds.
She has acted for domestic and international banks, lending syndicates, leasing companies, and shipowners on cross-border financing and leasing projects before and after vessel delivery, advising clients throughout the entire transaction process, from structuring to delivery and operation.
Jin has also advised owners on shipbuilding, ship sale and purchase, operation, and management matters, and has provided legal counsel to shipping companies and globally renowned cruise operators.
