Desai & Diwanji advised PE investor Greater Pacific Capital when it acquired an approximate 14% stake in Muthoot Microfin, the microfinance arm of Thiruvanathapuram-based Muthoot Pappachen Group, for INR3.7 billion (USD50 million).

AZB & Partners advised Muthoot Microfin and JSA advised existing investor Creation Investments India. The deal, designed to build Muthoot’s balance sheet, was signed on 2 November 2021 and closed on 8 December 2021.
