Goodwin announced it had appointed Edwin Chan as a private equity partner in its Hong Kong office.
Chan joined from the Hong Kong office of Paul Weiss, and previously practised at Linklaters. He was also once seconded to the principal investment area of Goldman Sachs.
Chan has advised clients through the life cycle of their investments, including investment restructuring and exits. He has represented PE firms, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and other financial sponsors, corporations and institutional investors on cross-border and domestic M&A, public and private acquisitions and divestments, growth capital and pre-IPO investments, co-investments, convertible debt and structured investments across Asia.
