Global Law Office advised integrated circuit manufacturer Vergiga Semiconductor on Series B financing, led by global semiconductor giant Intel.
Vergiga Semiconductor is one of the few domestic companies that successfully develop discrete power devices on 12-inch wafers. The company had earlier raised funding from OPPO, Xiaomi, Huaqin Technology, Yuanhe Puhua, and Dynamic Balance. It was recognised by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as a national “little giant” enterprise in July 2021, a title designated for companies with mastery of key technologies, strong innovation capabilities, and significant market share.
Global Law Firm’s project team was led by partner Jie Yi Chen, Hao Jia Zhuang, and counsel Chang Cheng Ye, and the team also included Luo Xun. The firm provided full legal services for the company’s past and current financing rounds, including transaction proposal design, drafting and revision of transaction documents, negotiation with all parties, and assistance in closing.
While the funding amount and valuation have not been disclosed, Vergiga Semiconductor has a registered capital of RMB22.63 million (USD3.57 million).
