The Asia managing partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Georgia Dawson, has been appointed as the firm’s senior partner and head of its senior leadership team, making her the first woman to lead the London-founded firm in its 277-year history.
Dawson, who also currently serves as the leader of the Asia dispute resolution practice, will lead a team consisting of Alan Mason, Rafique Bachour and Rick van Aerssen from January 2021. They will succeed the current senior partner Edward Braham and managing partner Stephan Eilers.
