Kolkata-based firm Fox & Mandal has expanded its footprint to New Delhi in a collaboration with BlackRobe Chambers – a full-service firm headed by Kunal Vajani.
“Debanjan [Mandal, partner at Fox & Mandal] has a progressive outlook to grow the firm,” said Vajani, who takes on the role of counsel and will head Fox’s New Delhi office as part of the collaboration. Vajani will also continue to head his counsel practice at BlackRobe Chambers.
“The fact that it has completely transitioned itself from a family owned and operated entity to a fully professional organisation is a testament to this fact. Today, only four out of the 18 partners belong to the founding family,” he said.
With increased strength, Fox now has 18 partners across three offices in two cities, which includes alumni from the top law colleges of the country.
Fox recently admitted Anil Dhar, Sandip Dasgupta, Rohit Singhania, Ajay Agarwal, Bhargav Mitra, Aparna Banerjee Dasgupta, Debabrata Das and Shruti Swaika into its partnership in the Kolkata office.
In its New Delhi office, Vajani’s colleagues Kunal Mimani and Roshan Santhalia, along with Vikrant Pachnanda, a Supreme Court advocate-on-record, were inducted into Fox as partners.
