Indian law firm Khaitan & Co is to host a UK-qualified lawyer from international firm Eversheds on a three-month secondment. Eversheds associate Sandip Khroud will join Khaitan & Co in September, dividing his time between the Indian firm’s Mumbai and New Delhi offices.
Khaitan & Co’s managing partner Haigreve Khaitan told India Business Law Journal: “This is not the first time Khaitan & Co is welcoming a secondment. As part of the HR exercise it’s a usual practice for the firm to offer seats and send lawyers for secondment.
“In the recent past we have had secondees from firms like Shadbolt, Berwin Leighton Paisner and Travers Smith, to name a few. As part of this year’s secondment programme we are also looking to have several more across our offices from other UK and US firms. This is the first one from Eversheds.”
