East & Concord deepens Greater Bay Area’s business

East & Concord Partners has opened a new branch in Guangzhou, aiming to co-operate with the Shenzhen office to hook business in the Greater Bay Area.

The latest Five-Year Plan of Guangzhou authorities attempts to develop tech innovation, modern industry and urban renewal, which will motivate the traditional litigation-oriented legal market to the non-litigation practice, boosting areas such as intellectual property, outbound investment, securities, real estate, corporate business, restructuring and overseas listings.

Separately, based on the firm’s geographical strategy, its Shanghai, Wuhan, Hangzhou and Nanjing offices will target the Yangtze River Economic Belt, while the Chengdu and Xi’an offices will service the western China legal market.
