Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (SAM) has launched an e-learning platform for its continuing cloud-based and artificial intelligence-enabled legal education effort.
The platform, CLEmentine, contains curated video content and more than 200 courses.
Deepa Mookerjee, head of learning and development at SAM, said an e-learning platform such as CLEmentine was a first for an Indian law firm.
“CLEmentine delivers bespoke training to our people on their terms, on their schedule and at their convenience,” said Mookerjee.
She added that while the platform was initially launched in September 2020 and used mainly for its junior lawyers, it currently assisted lawyers at all levels within the firm to educate themselves on everything from decoding financial statements to dispute resolution and how to improve their presentation skills.
SAM’s managing partner, Pallavi Shroff, described the platform as “a significant step for allowing our people to be up to speed with upskilling while balancing client-related work priorities”.
Full-service law firm SAM has more than 700 lawyers, including 143 partners, across seven cities.
