In a determined effort to educate defence personnel on cybercrime, the Delhi police force and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University have jointly organized a series of training workshops.

Two sessions were held in April and May last year, with another conducted in June this year. The next training course was expected to commence on 27 July.

Indian_man_working_at_compuDuring the first four weeks of the six week course, participants learn about computer hardware, software and networks. The training instructs them on how to dismantle and assemble computers, how to operate software programmes such as MS-DOS, Windows, Linux and Microsoft Office, and how to use communication networks, TCP/IP protocol suites, network protocols, wireless networks and network security applications.
