DeHeng Law Offices is setting up an office in Indonesia and it will be jointly operated by Jakarta outfit Armila & Rako.
The PRC firm made the announcement within the same week as the official opening of its Riyadh site in Saudi Arabia on 4 December.
DeHeng and Armila & Rako entered an agreement to set up the Indonesia branch on 6 December, and it will become DeHeng’s third Southeast Asia office. Its establishment aligns with the Belt and Road Initiative.
The new branch will advise Indonesia-based PRC companies on areas such as corporate, investment and financing, compliance, overseas construction contracts and IP matters.
Partner Harrison Jia, who specialises in M&A and insurance, is the co-director of the Indonesia office and is also the director of DeHeng’s office in Laos.
DeHeng began its expansion into the Southeast Asian market last year, establishing its Laos office in July 2023 and its Singapore office in August this year.
