“[Zheng’s practice] complements the firm’s strategy and I look forward to the opportunity to develop and broaden the Beijing office and the firm’s China practice,” said Lynia Lau, corporate partner and the firm’s chief representative in Beijing.

Troutman Sanders has hired Ding Chengfei as a partner in the Shanghai office focusing on corporate work. Ding was previously a special counsel at Baker & McKenzie in Beijing, where he focused on capital markets transactions, cross-border investments, private equity, and mergers and acquisitions.

“Chengfei is an important addition to our Shanghai office as we continue to grow our China presence,” said Robert Webb Jr, chairman of Troutman Sanders. “His experience will further enrich our transactional capabilities in Shanghai and enhance our ability to help Chinese companies meet their business needs in the US.”
