English law firms Clyde & Co and Barlow Lyde & Gilbert have announced their intention to merge. The firms have signed heads of terms and have stated their intention to complete the merger by 1 November. The combined firm will have 270 partners and over 1,250 fee-earners operating from 27 offices, including Hong Kong and Shanghai.
