Ashurst has hired former Addleshaw Goddard partner Lance Jiang to expand its restructuring and insolvency team in Hong Kong. Addleshaw Goddard shut down the Hong Kong office in September.
Jiang specialises in complex cross-border restructurings and insolvencies with a Chinese nexus and has represented a broad range of stakeholders on special situation matters involving NPLs, bankruptcies, and reorganisations.
Prior to joining Addleshaws in 2018, Jiang was the co-head of legal at Great Wall AMC International Holdings, and managing director and senior counsel at Elion Resources Group and the Bank of New York Mellon. Jiang is also a certified banking and securities practitioner in China.
