Vertices Partners co-founder Archana Khosla Burman will chair the Mumbai chapter of the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) in 2023-24, the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) announced.
The FLO promotes entrepreneurship and professional success among women, encouraging them to showcase their talent, skills, experience and energy for inclusive economic growth.
Burman said the FLO has a wealth of initiatives that further the empowerment of women. She added that she would aim to “engage with more women and youth in urban, rural, as well as underprivileged sections of society through deeper experiential initiatives”.
Her focus would also be on levelling the playing field to help women and girls overcome hurdles, and supporting entrepreneurship at all levels to encourage socio-economic engagement.
Burman, who has been a core member of the FLO for several years, has curated many impactful programmes that promote women, as well as address their health and well-being concerns.
These programmes include #MenstruationMatters and Period Leave that hold international importance, and spearheading Startup Caravan, a workshop series for new and aspiring entrepreneurs, she said.
