Appleby’s Hong Kong-based group chairman said the obtaining of a licence to become the first offshore law firm to provide legal advice in mainland China is not simply about drumming up new clientele.
“For us this is not just about new business, but an extension of our existing China-related work,” Frances Woo told China Business Law Journal.
