Allens rehires former employee Natasha Burns as a partner, bringing more than two decades of experience to spearhead the firm’s trademark practice in Australia.

Burns, founder of Burns IP Law in 2013, has rejoined Allens where she originally started her career. Burns IP Law will cease operations once its clients have successfully transitioned their legal matters.

Burns said: “Most of our clients will be joining us at Allens, where myself and Kate Bogue, also of Burns IP and now a trademark specialist at Allens, will continue to handle their trademark matters.”

Miriam Stiel, leader of the IP practice group at Allens, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Natasha back to Allens to lead our trademark offering. She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in large and boutique firms across Australia and the US.”

Burns, who will be based in Melbourne, said: “Allens has a leading, global IP practice, and I couldn’t ask for a better place to showcase my skills and experience. It’s great to be back.”
