Akin Gump has added international arbitration specialist Ing Loong Yang as a partner in its Hong Kong office.
Yang, who was a partner at Latham & Watkins in Hong Kong since 2013, has extensive international arbitration and complex commercial litigation experience in Asia, particularly in cross-border disputes involving parties in Greater China.
He is a Chartered Arbitrator of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and serves as a Council Member of the HKIAC and the Chairperson of its Appointments Committee, with represented clients in numerous international arbitrations under the rules of various arbitral institutions, including ICC, CIETAC, HKIAC, and SIAC.
Yang has also worked as a partner at Singaporean firm Allen & Gledhill and at US firm Sidley Austin.
Yang is a solicitor-advocate of the Hong Kong courts and qualified in England and Wales, Singapore, and New York.
