Malaysia’s Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill (LHAG) has recruited three lawyers from Zaid Ibrahim & Co, including former managing partner Amin Abdul Majid, to strengthen its energy, projects and infrastructure practice.
Joining Abdul Majid at LHAG are Khoo Yu Lin and Andreanna Ten Maven, with all three serving as partners.
Abdul Majid previously served as managing partner of Zaid Ibrahim & Co for 10 months, while Khoo and Ten were partners at the firm.
“LHAG’s strategic growth is driven by a commitment to strengthening our capabilities. The admission of Amin, Yu Lin and Andreanna as partners further enhances the depth of our energy, projects and infrastructure practice group. Together, they bring specialist expertise in these areas, including renewable energy, carbon markets and ESG compliance,” LHAG partners committee chairman Andrew Chiew Ean Vooi told Asia Business Law Journal.
“Their admission builds on the strength of LHAG’s existing team of recognised corporate and dispute resolution practitioners in this space, including Steven Tee, Joyce Ong, Nitin Nadkarni, Darshendev Singh, Crystal Wong and Lim Chee Yong.”
Abdul Majid brings more than 20 years of experience advising on electricity and renewable energy, oil and gas, decarbonisation, infrastructure and law and policy reform.
Khoo has two decades of experience advising on major infrastructure, renewable energy and utilities projects, as well as corporate transactions and M&A.
As for Ten, she focuses on energy transition, ESG and sustainability, energy and oil and gas infrastructure, and public and private M&A. She is also vastly experienced in corporate finance and securities law, including listed-group reorganisations, cross-border joint ventures, capital markets transactions, REITs and regulatory matters.
