ACC Asia-Pacific’s 2020 annual meeting in Singapore at the Shangri-La Hotel from 24 to 26 March will be homing in on key developments and trends within the region to support the theme, “the Asian century”.

The event will be held across an expanded three-day format. It will feature a number of keynote presentations, three concurrent content streams featuring feature a full suite of keynote presentations, social and networking events, panel discussions and workshops for the delegates.

The 2020 ACC annual meeting will critically examine the future of the in-house profession in Asia and the opportunities and challenges for in-house lawyers in the region as several multinational corporations are now headquartered in Asia.

ACC Australia and Asia-Pacific vice president and managing director, Tanya Khan, said an increasing number of the biggest and most complex transactions in the world are being driven out of Asia including:

  • More multinational corporations are now headquartered in Asia than ever before.
  • International trade and investment, which fuels the Asia-Pacific economy, is increasingly intra-regional rather than being driven from North America or Europe.
  • More of the innovation that fuels business and that is transforming how we think about law is emanating from Asia, and importantly, more ACC members across the Asia-Pacific region are moving into global leadership positions than ever before.

This will be the second ACC Asia Pacific annual meeting. The inaugural event was held in Hong Kong in April 2019.
