IP expert Johnson Li joins GEN Law Firm as a partner in the Beijing office, formerly a partner at Wanhuida Intellectual Property in the capital.
With more than 20 years of experience, Li advises on IP litigation, administrative protection, invalid patents and licensing. He also settles matters on copyright applications and protection.
He has represented Nihon Superior, a provider of soldering and brazing technologies and products to the metal joining industry. He acted for Nihon in its administrative disputes concerning patent invalidation with the Patent Reexamination and Invalidation Department of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, which was later selected as Case of the Year in 2014 by the Supreme People’s Court.
Li has been handling cases from various industries spanning telecommunications, semiconductor, software, mobiles, medical instruments and electronic devices.
He is a director of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property China. He also serves as a member of the International Trademark Association, the Licensing Executives Society International and the Intellectual Property Owners Association.
