Emily Ray has been appointed as the group executive vice president ‒ legal risk management at Yes Bank. Ray, whose career spans more than 15 years in the industry, was previously at Rabobank for eight years.
Ray said the decision to join one of India’s largest private sector banks would boost her confidence and help her progress further. “Yes Bank has provided the perfect opportunity for growth and learning,” she said.
Ray said the new role would provide her with a better opportunity for a wider reach and scope, and to deal with more legally challenging situations. “The legal department of Yes Bank is very competent and I look forward to contributing as much as possible, as well as learning from and growing with my legal colleagues,” she said.
Ray said the new role would expanding her horizons and give her greater responsibilities, from mentoring novice lawyers across various verticals to managing legal risk for newer and exciting areas such as digital banking.
