The 2015 Beijing Arbitration Commission arbitration rules come into effect from 1 April 2015 after two years of comment-seeking and deliberation. Compared with the existing version, the content of the new rules will be further enriched and polished with enhanced design of professional procedures providing a better user experience and fulfilment of parties’ expectations.

Predictability and transparency

Parties may participate more frequently and with better results in arbitral proceedings if they can reasonably foresee the procedure and have a clear mind as to what procedural rights they have, how they can exercise these rights, what the consequences will be if they seek to exercise such rights outside of the time limits, and the like.
