ZICO Law’s Singapore office, ZICO Insights Law, has established a dispute resolution team and hired specialist Cheryl Ng as director of the new practice. Ng joins from Intelleigen Legal, where she was a head of litigation for almost four years.
Ng is experienced in advising on white-collar criminal matters, employment issues and intellectual property disputes. She has expertise in civil and commercial disputes, and has represented clients in multimillion-dollar Singapore International Arbitration Centre arbitrations and cross-border disputes in Asia and Europe.
The firm has also teamed up with a Singapore-based advocate and arbitrator, Tham Lijing, from Essex Court Chambers Duxton (Singapore Group Practice) for advising on cases that require specialised expertise. Lijing will act as the firm’s external counsel in litigation and arbitration.
Yap Lian Seng, managing director of ZICO Insights Law, said that the new addition of the firm’s dispute resolution capabilities is a strategic step towards an improved and integrated service offering in Singapore and ASEAN, especially as Singapore is growing its status as an international arbitration hub.
“The inclusion of Ng and our ongoing collaboration with Lijing will bolster our ability to help our clients navigate increasingly complex and contested business environments,” he said.
