Zhonglun W&D Law Firm has hired six partners to join the Beijing office, strengthening its criminal defence, capital markets, corporate and intellectual property sectors.

Pang Zhenhuan, formerly a prosecutor in Beijing Dongcheng District People’s Procuratorate, focuses on criminal advocacy and criminal compliance, handling cases related to investigations of crimes and public prosecutions. He has advised more than 30 large national companies, state institutions and private enterprises. With speciality in PE, Pang participated in the first Coordinated Development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region ABS programme.

Pu Panyu, who practised at Lifang & Partners, JunHe and Zhong Lun Law Firm, has expertise in M&A, PE/VC, investment in distressed assets, and civil and commercial disputes. He has clients in finance, medicine, energy and minerals, education, AI, catering, real estate, internet, etc.

Wang Ke is a partner and deputy director of Zhonglun W&D’s IP Committee. He has a patent agent qualification, and expertise in IP, competition and antitrust. He successfully acted for the China Audio-Video Copyright Association sued over abuse of dominant market position in an antitrust dispute, which was one of the national Top 10 typical cases selected by the Supreme People’s Court in 2020. He previously worked at Wanhuida Intellectual Property and Welaw Law Firm.

Fei Facheng and Chen Jian, both previously practised at Zhonglun W&D from 2013-2014 and 2019-2020, respectively. Fei, who has also worked at Haiwen & Partners and Fangda Partners, focuses on corporate M&A, equity investments, establishing funds and company matters.

Chen who worked at Qiancheng Law Firm, has expertise in criminal defence and compliance. He has represented a company chairman in Shandong over insurance fraud, which was nominated in the national Top 10 typical cases of an innocence defence in 2021 by the Institute of Advanced Studies in Criminal Defence at the Northwest University of Political Science and Law.

Tao Tao worked as a risk control director at investment companies with extensive experience in corporate external controls. He concentrates on matters involving private equity, equity investments, culture and media, company law and social organisations.
