Former senior prosecutor Sang Mook Kang has joined Yulchon as a partner, bolstering the firm’s dispute resolution practice and global white-collar defence team in Seoul.
Yong Pyo Yeom, co-head of Yulchon’s dispute resolution practice, said: “Sang Mook is a highly experienced professional in the anti-corruption area with an outstanding track record.”
Kang recently worked at the Busan District Prosecutor’s Office. His expertise includes his tenure as a prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office and a policy adviser to the Minister of Justice, where he worked on legislative matters such as the revision of commercial laws.
“I’m delighted to be joining the team at Yulchon. I’m looking forward to bringing my expertise to Yulchon’s client base and working with the highly regarded team,” said Kang.
Kang’s addition comes a month after the hiring of Wook Jin Rah, a renowned international criminal expert.
