After working at Norton Rose Fulbright in Sydney for almost 15 years, and gaining a partnership in the past five years, antitrust specialist Belinda Harvey has joined White & Case LLP as a partner in Sydney.

Harvey advises domestic and international clients in the energy, infrastructure, pharmaceutical, financial services, technology, manufacturing, consumer products and aviation sectors on all aspects of antitrust, consumer law and the regulation of essential services.

Mark Gidley, White & Case’s head of the global antitrust practice in Washington, said the addition of Harvey sent a clear message to Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific market that the firm is establishing a stand-alone antitrust practice that can advise clients on the full breadth of antitrust and regulatory issues they face.

“This significant expansion in the Asia-Pacific will further bolster our global reputation as a leading antitrust practice, in addition to servicing the growing need for antitrust capabilities on the ground in the region,” said Gidley.

Harvey has a depth of experience advising on strategy and the clearance of domestic and cross-border M&A, with a particular focus on multijurisdictional matters, as well as joint ventures and other collaborative arrangements.
