Baker & McKenzie has announced the appointment of Paul Tan as new managing partner of the firm’s Hong Kong, China and Vietnam offices.
Tan’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, employment law and other related corporate and commercial law matters in the Asia-Pacific. He is a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong, England and Wales, and the Australian state of New South Wales.
Lawrence Lee, the chairman of Baker & McKenzie’s Hong Kong, China and Vietnam offices, said: “Tan’s leadership, commitment and passion has seen our offices consolidate and build on Baker & McKenzie’s position as the premier global law firm in the Greater China and Vietnam markets.”
Earlier in October, the firm announced that its executive committee member, Winston Zee, based in Hong Kong, was elected chairman of the firm’s Asia-Pacific regional council.
