Rocky Lee, formerly a partner at DLA Piper in Beijing, has been appointed Asia managing partner and head of the Greater China corporate practice at US law firm Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft. Lee is widely recognized as one of the region’s top advisers to venture capital and private equity funds. He is tasked with building Cadwalader’s Asia practice into an operation that matches the firm’s status and reputation in the US.
“Cadwalader is committed to the Asia region, and one should not be surprised to see us branch out into other key cities and extending our existing practice strengths from the US into Asia. We recognize that this is a monumental task but the significant reward keeps us very motivated,” Lee told China Business Law Journal.
