Qin Wen, a former partner at Rui Bai, a PRC legal arm of Big Four accounting firm PwC, and Ma Tao, a former partner at Jingshi Law Firm, have joined Hylands Law Firm.
Qin specialises in handling dispute resolution, corporate and IP business for cross-border and international companies. China Business Law Journal recognised him as one of the A-List lawyers in 2019 and 2020. Prior to Rui Bai Law Firm, Qin served as a partner at Run Ming Law Office.
The Ministry of Justice imposed stricter regulations on foreign accounting firms controlling law firms in China in 2021, and in the two years since then all the affiliated law firms of the Big Four in mainland China have been dissolved.
Ma focuses on dispute resolutions arising from corporate governance, compliance, investment and M&A. She has advised high-profile companies such as China Resources, Beijing Pharmaceutical, Dong-E-E-Jiao, and COFCO Land Holdings (now known as Joy City Property).
Ma has extensive experience within the pharmaceutical industry and has served as an annual legal counsel to CR Pharmaceutical and its subsidiary companies.
