Hong Kong firm Oldham Li & Nie Lawyers (OLN) has appointed Simon WH Wong as a partner in its corporate and commercial practice.
Wong, formerly a counsel with Bird & Bird, specializes in corporate finance, securities, M&A, joint ventures, compliance, corporate restructurings and China-related transactions.
He has handled the IPOs of Chinese and non-Chinese companies on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, and advised on pre-IPO private equity investments, post-IPO notifiable transactions, corporate reorganizations, compliance and related transactions. Wong has also counselled overseas investors in setting up China joint ventures.
Wong joined Bird & Bird in 2015 from King & Wood Mallesons. He began his career in 2001, at Hong Kong firm Arculli Fong & Ng, which later merged with then King & Wood. With the addition of Wong, OLN now has 12 partners.
