Lomesh Kiran Nidumuri has joined Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) as a disputes-practice partner. He was previously a partner at IndusLaw where he headed the disputes team.

Nidumuri will be based in Bengaluru and lead the disputes practice for South India while also augmenting the firm’s international arbitration practice.

“My induction is part of the firm’s overall strategy to further scale up the disputes team,” Nidumuri told India Business Law Journal.

“Mr Cyril Shroff and Mrs Vandana Shroff have a clear vision for the disputes practice of CAM. They believe that there is a huge potential to grow this practice, particularly in the south. Growing the international arbitration practice is also their top priority.”

He has nearly two decades of experience advising clients in civil, business or commercial disputes, cross-border disputes, domestic and international arbitrations, and has acted as lead counsel in trials and arguments before courts and arbitral tribunals.

Nidumuri has also represented clients in matters relating to shareholder disputes, technology-related disputes, oppression and mismanagement, projects and construction, restructuring and corporate insolvency, actions against governmental bodies, IP rights (particularly in relation to trademarks, copyright, domain name and trade secret disputes), employment matters, tenders and white-collar crimes.

He was previously an associate at Bharucha & Partners, and Dua Associates.
