Ed Sheremeta, an expert in real estate investment, has joined DLA Piper as a partner for the firm’s practice in Hong Kong.
Sheremeta’s experience includes advising major investment banks and real estate funds. He has spent considerable time working in Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
“We continue to see increasing levels of investor interest and activity in the China real estate market, both in the PRC and in Hong Kong,” Sheremeta told China Business Law Journal. “In some respects, the recent cooling measures will create more opportunities for private equity to put their capital and expertise to use.”
