Manjushree Somasundara, who brings more than two decades of experience to the table, has joined Aarna Law as a partner in its corporate advisory team.
“I look forward to utilising my experience and knowledge in compliance risk management and fraud to support Aarna Law’s client base including new age fintechs, NBFCs [non-banking financial companies],” said Somasundara.
Prior to joining Aarna Law, she was vice president for global anti-money laundering policies and standards at Standard Chartered Bank. She managed the group’s anti-money laundering policies and advised on regulatory compliance across 50 countries in this area.
She has also held senior leadership roles in legal and corporate compliance for Standard Chartered Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and ING Vysya Bank.
